Pope Leo XIV needs to show some street cred

I am a cynical conservative.  And as much as I had problems with Pope Francis's narrow left wing vision of synodality, I believe Pope Leo XIV has six amazing opportunities to heal the Church.

1.  His first Apostolic visit should be to Peru to feed the poor directly in the diocese that he was a missionary, back in 1988.  And say a Mass in Incan, televised worldwide!  Return to Chiclayo for a dinner of Peruvian Ceviche!
2.  On the same trip His 2nd Apostolic visit should be to a local police station to give a PUBLIC statement of all he knows of the Fr. Gonzales mess, and visit again with Fr. Gonzales' victims.  He should do this out of true mercy for the soul of Fr. Gonzales and as a sign we have turned the corner on the clerical abuse scandals.  He should do this as an example to all prelates and Bishops and priors and abbots and anybody else who has oversight of this problem in the world.
3.  Next visit should be to Chicago to take in a White Sox Game and to try the sandwich named after him at Portello's.  What better way for Bob from Chicago who became Pope to show his street cred with the poor of the United States?  Then meet with Rachel Maria Magtrogiacomo to explain the placement of Cardinal McElroy in Washington DC.  Give us a good sermon on traditional procreative marriage even as most American Catholics now reject traditional sexual morality
5.  Relax the restrictions on The Latin Mass by encouraging the Congregation to say the responses loudly along with the altar servers and allow the Traditional Latin Mass to be said in any church with an altar rail that also has a Novus Ordo scheduled the same day.
6.  Make 2041 a Jubilee Year of Economic Justice and give us a 150th Anniversary update to Rerum Novarum!  Have World Youth Day, theme of Traditional Vocations, in Germany!

If even a portion of these get done in the next 20 years, the Roman Catholic Church will be leading the world in morality again.

Father claims 15 year old girl is capable of consent in Lesbian Rape Case

Father claims 15 year old girl from another family is capable of consent : I'm beginning to really like the change in Florida's government.  First they stop handing out welfare checks to junkies.  Now they are treating Lesbians under the same rules as Heterosexuals, gasp, what a concept!  Don't sign this petition unless you are FOR statutory rape of younger girls by predatory lesbians. How many 18 year old boys have been prosecuted for having sex with 16 year old women under "minors can't give consent"?    Special treatment for lesbians?  Please, no.

Call them what you like, Broken Families are still a TRAGEDY!

Yes, liberals value family , but not enough to recognize that a broken family is a tragedy. Divorce is actually worse than death as far as the grieving process goes- especially when there are children, custody battles, parental support, and alimony involved. And homosexuals raising children? That is tragic, not something to be celebrated. Maybe if we'd *recognize* that a broken family is a tragedy we would be more willing to say, pay taxes for WIC so that the single mother working a minimum wage job actually has the ability to choose life. Maybe we'd have more men willing to stick around and help raise the children they cause because the condom broke while they were stupidly using sex only for recreation. Maybe, just maybe, we'd be raising men instead of a generation of cowardly wimps who choose homosexuality and suicide over real life. Suffering and tragedy is valuable- but only if we recognize that it exists.
