I think abortion is something like a disappearance of premature idea.
What was not left was as good as nothing.
The problem with that line of reasoning, James, is that it is utterly ignorant of biochemistry. The "idea" of the person, that is, the DNA of the organism, is present in all 4 cells of the blastocyst, that is, the idea is already mature.
Whether or not that idea is viable is another matter entirely, but we human beings are simply NOT wise enough to figure that out. Thus, basically, your argument is beyond the competency of the human species, and is something more akin to unthinking bigotry than rational thought.
