Lust makes love into violence

Yesterday I was once again trying to explain my belief in marriage to the moderns. I wish I had read this article first.
The reason I see non-marital and non-procreative sex as rape is because lust is violent. Lust is always violent, the only thing that makes it even somewhat acceptable is adding selflessness, sacrifice, generosity and commitment to it.
Homosexuality isn't self-sacrificial, and thus can't raise to the level of dignity and nobility heterosexual monogamy can.
Heterosexual polygamy also fails to be self sacrificial, even when it is serial instead of parallel.
And that's why heterosexual monogamy is the best and most complete anti-poverty program ever; both spiritual and material poverty is relieved by it.
Too bad we've largely lost chivalry.

I would have guessed a 30% reduction in prison population, and I'm *FOR* the war on drugs. Many libertarians have suggested far higher- citing the 1,175% increase in drug arrests since 1980.
A mathematician crunches the numbers- and the results are surprising to say the least.

The Slippery Slope Defined
Almighty God, We Acknowledge Our Dependence Upon Thee, And Ask for Your Blessings, on Us, Our Parents, Our Teachers, and Our Country.
That's what kids used to say daily right alongside the Pledge of Allegiance. My generation did not learn those words. And today- we have abortion, divorce, gay marriage, and over 50% of children come from single parent homes. There is even a movement to remove pedophilia from mental disorders the same step taken with homosexuality back in the 1950s. And the Gosnell murder trial, covered almost not at all on a national scale shows the utter lack of outrage needed to force government to even make abortion sterile, let alone safe for the mother (it will never be safe for the child, thus I don't hold to the "safe, legal, and rare" in that aborition by very nature can never become those three things).
The slippery slope. Once thought to be a logical fallacy, proven by 40 years of direct experimentation.

What is interesting about this is the comparison between Love Canal and Lifestyle Drugs. Pollution is pollution, and using chemicals to change bodily processes has a rather wide ranging effect that some people just don't want to be forced to pay for.
